This teacher observation form is designed to help K-12 instructional leaders assess various aspects of a teacher's performance in the classroom. The form covers a range of topics, including classroom configuration, learning targets, literacy and technology strategies, best practices, student actions, classroom interaction, cooperative learning, assessment for learning, classroom management, and lesson planning and delivery. The form includes specific questions related to each of these areas, such as whether students are configured for learning, whether vocabulary instruction is observed, and whether students are actively engaged. The form also includes questions related to the teacher's interactions with students, the level of rigor and pacing appropriate for the content and students, and the use of total participation techniques. Finally, the form includes reflective questions to help teachers think about their own performance and areas for improvement.
