Mosaic
The teacher observation form is a tool used by instructional leaders in K-12 schools to evaluate and provide feedback on a teacher's instructional strategies, rigor, relevance, student engagement, learning conditions, instructional feedback, assessment, and lesson closure. The form includes a series of questions that assess the teacher's ability to keep students on task, clearly communicate learning intentions, use various instructional methods, incorporate literacy and numeracy instruction, and create authentic work that connects to real-world applications. The form also evaluates the teacher's ability to manage the classroom environment, promote learning, and interact with students effectively. Additionally, the form assesses the teacher's use of formative and summative assessments, including quizzes, tests, student projects, inquiry-based learning, and worksheets. Finally, the form evaluates the teacher's ability to provide timely, clarifying, corrective, reinforcing, and prescriptive feedback to students.
