This teacher observation form is designed to assess a teacher's knowledge of content, students, and resources, as well as their ability to design coherent instruction and student assessments. The form includes questions related to the teacher's understanding of the content and structure of their discipline, prerequisite relationships, and content-related pedagogy. It also assesses the teacher's knowledge of child and adolescent development, the learning process, and students' skills, language proficiency, interests, cultural heritage, and special needs. The form evaluates the teacher's ability to value, sequence, and align instruction, as well as provide clarity, balance, and stability for diverse learners. It also assesses the resources available to the teacher for classroom use, extending content knowledge and pedagogy, and for students. The form evaluates the teacher's ability to design learning activities, instructional materials and resources, instructional groups, and lesson and unit structure. It assesses the congruence of instructional outcomes, criteria and standards, and the design of formative assessments, as well as their use for planning. Finally, the form includes a section for additional comments.
