This teacher observation form is designed to assess the effectiveness of a Shared Reading Workshop for students in grades 3-5. The form includes a series of questions that cover various aspects of the lesson, including the grade level, the start of the lesson, the lesson focus, the introduction of the text or passage, the first, second, and third reads, the skill focus after the third read, the writing connection, and follow-up options. The form also includes a question that assesses the overall effectiveness of the lesson. The purpose of this form is to provide instructional leaders with a tool to evaluate the quality of Shared Reading Workshops and to identify areas for improvement.
