Mosaic
This teacher observation form is designed to assess various aspects of a teacher's performance during a lesson. It includes questions related to the subject being taught, the structure and environment of the classroom, the presentation and organization of the lesson, the level of rigor, and the teacher's closing remarks. The form also evaluates whether the teacher posted the objective/standard and bellwork for students, employed non-lecture learning activities, encouraged student questions, integrated technology when appropriate, and used techniques to check for understanding throughout the lesson. Additionally, the form assesses whether the teacher used DOK questions at a level 3 or above, encouraged students to find solutions to questions on their own, and differentiated learning. The form concludes with an overall comment section, a meeting date to discuss the observation, and next steps.
